What do you do at Cydcor?

A typical day at Cydcor is never typical, and that’s what I enjoy most about working here. The environment is challenging and fast-paced, constantly forcing me to grow and step outside my comfort zone. Whether I’m answering payment questions from the owners, trouble-shooting file automation issues, leading a book club discussion with my team, or collaborating with team members on a community outreach event – it’s all in a day’s work.

My position as Manager, Billing and Payment involves managing a team of analysts responsible for daily operations of our various campaigns. As financial analysts, we are processing sales orders, managing reporting, supporting our campaign teams, and ensuring payments are processed accurately.

What makes Cydcor Special?

Special is defined as better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual. When I think about Cydcor, it’s a place where I’ve enjoyed working more than any other. It’s provided greater opportunity for personal and professional development. The satisfaction I feel about the work I do gives me a feeling of accomplishment. When I think about it, what makes Cydcor special is the diverse group of individuals, working together as a team, to help others accomplish their goals and unleash their true potential.

How has working at Cydcor helped you grow?

Working at Cydcor has been a continuous journey of personal and professional development. My roles and responsibilities have evolved several times during my career with the company. Initially, I was hired to work as a Human Resource/Support Specialist for the retail division. However, since then, I’ve taken on a variety of other roles. As the business model evolved and needed change, I sought out other opportunities to expand my knowledge. Currently, my main function is within the scope of Senior Financial Analyst. My goal has been to continue to explore, take on new challenges that allow me to learn and grow, and push my comfort zone. Over the years, I’ve participated in strategic initiatives, business development projects, national conference events, community outreach campaigns, and system automation/implementation projects. I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can learn and how I can contribute to the overall success of the company!

What is your favorite part of working at Cydcor?

What I enjoy most about working at Cydcor is that I’m consistently working on something new. My days are never boring. In fact, the time passes so quickly that I often wish I had more time. It’s a great feeling to leave for the day and feel accomplished or excited to return the next day to partner with team members and tackle a problem. Whether it’s a holiday food drive, high school mentorship program, blood drive, company volunteer day, or Day of Smiles, Cydcor believes in giving back to the community. Giving back is important, and working at a company that encourages me to get involved, while also supporting me with that initiative, is one of the many reasons I love working here.

Emmanuel joins colleagues and students from Pacifica High School for a private tour of Riot Games’ studios, the makers of the largest online game in the world, League of Legends, as part of a community outreach initiative through Cydcor’s CEO, Gary Polson.

What do you love about the business?

In this business, we focus on the development, growth, and experience of the individual. That starts internally and flows throughout every aspect of our business: clients, customers, vendors, team members, and community. Yes, that’s right—community too! What I also love is the passion for helping others that exists throughout this business. Everyone who works here really believes in helping others, inside the organization as well as outside. We have a number of community outreach programs: Operation Smile, Pacifica High School Business Academy Mentorship Program, and Volunteer Day with the LA Food Bank, to name a few. We understand that we all have a responsibility to make our community a better place, and it doesn’t stop with just making our business a great place to work, it also extends into making our community a great place to live!
